Birth – 8 Mental Health
It is a subcommittee of the DeKalb County Coalition for Youth Mental Health.
The DeKalb County Birth-8 mental health coalition is an initiative set up to address the mental health needs of children birth-8 years of age. Stakeholders share a vision for change. The coalition works to increase access to mental health services and assessments, analyze gaps in services, destigmatization brain and wellness services, and create a supportive environment for children who may be experiencing mental health symptoms and their caregivers. The coalition also works to identify and address the factors contributing to the lack of access to mental health services. The coalition strives to provide all people with the knowledge and support they need to maintain their physical and mental well-being.
