DAYS (Asset Awareness)

D.A.Y.S. Developmental Assets for Youth Success
The 40 Developmental Assets program helps build essential assets that young people need to succeed. The Developmental Assets Framework enhances the experiences, opportunities, skills, and qualities that embody strength-based youth development. Partnerships with schools, businesses, and communities will deepen capacity and impact to helping youth and families succeed.

DAYS Youth Program

The Youth Program is free of charge to your students. The DAYS (DeKalb County Developmental Assets for Youth Success) program aligns with the 40 developmental assets framework. This program focuses on students’ external assets: support, empowerment, boundaries and expectations, and constructive use of time. Internal assets include commitment to learning, positive values, social competencies, and positive identity. Our youth program is a tremendous interactive program for students that helps with critical opportunities and relationships and strengthens assets for youth success. A local mental health provider will facilitate each youth program. The DeKalb County Coalition for Mental Health is very excited to be able to offer this to the DeKalb County Community.
