DAYS Youth Program
The Coalition's mission is to support a county-wide collaboration of service providers that partner with families, communities, and other agencies to impact the optimal mental health development of children and youth in DeKalb County. Together, the parties enter into this MOU to mutually advocate for equitable access and increased capacity and quality of mental health services for children and youth.
Developmental Assets for Youth Success
The 40 Developmental Assets program helps build essential assets that young people need to succeed. The Developmental Assets Framework enhances the experiences, opportunities, skills, and qualities that embody strength-based youth development. Partnerships with schools, businesses, and communities will deepen capacity and impact to helping youth and families succeed.
DAYS Youth Program
The Youth Program is free of charge to students. The DAYS (Developmental Assets for Youth Success) program aligns with the 40 Developmental Assets framework. This program focuses on students’ external assets: support, empowerment, boundaries and expectations, constructive use of time, and internal assets: commitment to learning, positive values, social competencies, and positive identity. This interactive group for students helps with critical opportunities and relationships, strengthening assets for youth success. A local mental health provider facilitates each group.
