Substitute Teacher Workshop Day 1 (must attend Day 1 and Day 2)

This workshop is an opportunity for ANY substitute teachers in DeKalb County to obtain valuable professional development. The workshop also qualifies as the required training for the “Short Term Substitute Teaching License.” You MUST attend both sessions on 11/12 and 11/13 and you must register for BOTH. Registration payment is attached to Day 1 and must be paid in order to receive credit for Day 2. If you have questions, please contact Barb Clark at 815-217-0460.

Topics include: professionalism, legal issues, safety, special education, classroom management, curriculum and instructional strategies, social emotional learning, and building procedures.

Participants will receive workshop materials and resources, professional development hours, certificates of completion, and special notation in the substitute list that is distributed to districts.

Facilitated by the DeKalb ROE with several presenters. Snacks are included in the fee.
