Effective Communication at Critical Moments: De-Escalating Stressful Moments with Students

While educators often focus on academic standards, we all know that the emotional and behavioral needs of our students also lead to huge successes or failures. Designed for all types and levels of teachers, this session will explore the use of effective communication during critical moments to help de-escalate conflicts with students. We will also look at the best way to support student behavior to keep behaviors from escalating and to help students develop their own learning strategies on how to cope.
