Substitute Teacher Workshop Day 1 (must attend Day 1 and Day 2) CANCELLED LOOK for RESCHEDULE LATER

This workshop is an opportunity for ANY substitute teachers in DeKalb County to obtain valuable professional development. The workshop also qualifies as the required training for the new “Short Term Substitute Teaching License.” You MUST attend both sessions on 2/25 and 2/26 and you must register for BOTH. Topics include: professionalism, legal issues, safety, special education, classroom management, curriculum and instructional strategies, social emotional learning, and building procedures.

Participants will receive workshop materials and resources, professional development hours, certificates of completion, and special notation in the substitute list that is distributed to districts.

Facilitated by the DeKalb ROE with several presenters. Snacks are included in the fee.
